“City & Country purchased the site at HM Prison Kingston, Portsmouth in February 2015. We subsequently applied for and was granted planning permission for 183 new build homes and 84 homes within the historic Grade II listed prison building. City & Country disposed of the new build element of the site to a leading provider of affordable homes, with the intention of converting the existing buildings. During a conversation with Glen, he seemed positive about introducing a developer that would consider this style of re-development, in the location, and asked permission to discuss this further with them. Glen spoke to his contact who viewed the site, terms were agreed and completion took place all within the timescales agreed between the parties. Glen was able to recognise the opportunity of a deal through his knowledge of City & Country and the purchaser and match us up, resulting in a positive outcome for City & Country.
